Preparation Process

One of the most important technological steps in wheat processing is the preparation of wheat for milling. This department includes the phases of blending the milling mix, removing impurities, hydrothermal treatment of the grain for milling, and final surface treatment of the grain.

Adjusting Different Input Parameters

The procedure for preparing the milling mix takes place inside the grain silos, where multiple types of wheat with different technological properties can be delivered. After determining the optimal proportions of wheat batches in the laboratory, the milling mix is adjusted to achieve optimal technological properties before the wheat is sent for processing.

Wheat processing is a complex procedure of selective grinding, alternated in multiple phases with the sorting of milled particles by size and quality.

Quality Control

Flour, as a valuable product of grain milling, is used for the production of bread, pasta, and confectionery. The nutritional value of flour and its products is determined by its chemical composition and the quality of the final products, which in turn depends on the technological properties of the grain and the organization of the milling process.

Data on the composition of wheat reflect the nutritional value of wheat flour. It contains important building components, as well as many vitamins and minerals.

Our modern laboratory, equipped according to the highest industrial standards, allows precise analysis and continuous monitoring of all processes – from raw material reception and control, through production, to the final inspection of finished products.

The laboratory plays a key role in ensuring consistent quality, uniformity, and product safety through regular internal checks of physical-chemical and technological parameters. This ensures that every product leaving our mill meets strict quality standards and customer expectations.

In addition to internal controls, Čeković Mill conducts laboratory analyses in accredited external laboratories, further confirming the quality and safety of our products. External analyses include testing for microbiological safety, chemical composition, and compliance with all applicable food safety regulations and standards.
